The core mission of the UIR-Foundation is to support the faculty and staff of the University of Ibadan in becoming leaders in their respective fields. Research and translation of research findings to innovations, strategies and policy options are critical components for national development. When research is grown and nurtured, it is imperative to take research to humanity (Gown to Town) to benefit mankind and to make the world a better place.
UI-Research Foundation is poised to nurture future research leaders and prepare graduates of the University of Ibadan with expertise and novel competencies. We also aim to generate research results, support and develop future research leaders to effectively use research output, strategies and innovations to address the challenge of national development.
The University of Ibadan Research Foundation (UIRF) has established strategic relationships with both national and international organizations, including the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Africa Research, Implementation Science, and Education (ARISE) Network, the African Leishmaniasis Consortium (ALC), the Africa-Canada Artificial Intelligence and Data Innovation Consortium (ACAIDIC), York University Nigerian Ministry for Medical Research(NIMR), and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA).
